More than just another day at day care, The Big Day Out combines a small-group adventure with a full day of care, creating the ultimate experience for dogs who love to explore.

Your dog starts the day with their friends at Happy Paws Waggy Tails, heads off on an exciting adventure and then returns to day care for some well-earned downtime before heading home.

Group Adventures Are Taking a Short Winter Break

Our Summer 2025/26 Group Adventure season has now wrapped up.

As much as we'd love to spend every day exploring with our adventure crew, Group Adventures work best during the warmer months when the weather is kinder and the days are longer.

We'll be back later this year with another season of adventures, exciting destinations and plenty of wagging tails.

Step 1: Tell us about your dog

We'll learn more about their personality, social skills and whether they'd enjoy Group Adventures.

Step 2: Join the Adventure List

The Big Day Out follows our Group Adventure season and is currently taking a short break while we plan our next adventures.

Join the Adventure List and we'll let you know when bookings open later this year.

Step 3: Choose Your Adventures

Before each season begins, we'll publish our Adventure Calendar so you can see exactly where we're heading and when.

You can then choose the option that suits you and your dog best:

🐾 Become a regular adventurer and join us for every outing.

🐾 Pick and choose your favourites by booking only the destinations that catch your eye.

Whether your dog loves the beach, enjoys a bush walk or simply wants to try something new, there's no pressure to attend every adventure.

Because every dog has their own idea of the perfect day out.

Step 4: Reserve Your Spot

Big Day Out groups are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of just six dogs, allowing us to provide a safe, personalised and enriching experience for every adventurer.

Because places are limited, we recommend booking early to avoid missing out.

Bookings will be made through PetBoost, where you'll simply:

🐾 Select your usual day care drop-off time

🐾 Select your usual day care pick-up time

Then leave the rest to us.

Step 5: The Big Day Out!

Drop off exactly as you normally would.

Your dog will enjoy:

🐾 Morning fun at day care.

🐾 An exciting small-group adventure.

🐾 Some well-earned quiet time back at day care.

🐾 A full report card and plenty of photos.

Then they'll head home happy, fulfilled and probably ready for a very long nap.

And fair warning... your dog may start hoping every day is Big Day Out day.
