January Calendar

Tues 27th Jan
Maribyrnong River Walk
This walk follows wide riverside paths with beautiful water views and plenty of room for comfortable on lead movement. Dogs enjoy long, uninterrupted stretches ideal for maintaining a steady pace. The area has lots of soft grass, shady pockets, and low foot traffic on weekdays. Great for polite walkers, seniors, or dogs building confidence.
Thurs 29th Jan
Altona Dog Beach
A popular third visit for January because the conditions, space, and safety make it a standout. The huge shallow flats allow even less confident swimmers to enjoy the water, while social dogs have plenty of opportunities to mingle. It is consistently one of the happiest places for off leash play. Ideal for energetic dogs with good recall.
Fri 30th Jan
Williamstown Botanic Gardens
These beautiful heritage gardens offer peaceful shaded paths and lush plant life, creating a gentle sensory walk for dogs who enjoy calmer outings. The structured pathways make it an easy on lead adventure while still providing new smells and sights. It is visually stunning and a wonderful change of pace compared to beach and bush days. Suits polite walkers, seniors, and dogs who prefer quiet environments.

The Warmies
This outing is ideal for dogs who benefit from decompression rather than high-output exercise. The Warmies allows dogs to explore calmly, build confidence through choice, and engage with their environment without overstimulation. Best suited to social dogs who enjoy low-pressure off leash time. Due to the layout, recall requirements are slightly more relaxed for this destination.

This coastal trail offers long, flat paths with open bay views and cooling sea breezes, making it ideal for steady, comfortable on lead walking. The relaxed coastal setting provides gentle sensory input without feeling busy or overwhelming. Best suited to polite walkers and dogs who enjoy calm, structured outings with a view.

Tues 17th Feb
The Warmies
The Warmies is ideal for dogs who enjoy slow wandering, shoreline sniffing, and choosing their own pace rather than high-energy beach play. Best suited to social dogs who like off leash exploration in a softer, more contained environment.
Fri 20th Feb
